Summer Stage School

This week some of our wonderful children came along to Summer Stage School. What a fantastic time we all had! The children had lots of fun playing games and making new friends. We used our imaginations to create new characters using a range of weird and wonderful props and accessories. We created a character profile and then became the characters, improvising scenes with each other. We learnt some vocal warm up games and learnt how to sing in rounds.

As a group the children agreed upon songs they would like to perform at the end of the week. They got straight to work creating scenery and costume accessories as well as learning the songs and choreographing routines. The children worked really hard to perfect their routines.

On the final day it was time for a full run through and dress rehearsal before our final performance for our families. Mrs Spoors, Mrs Lishman and Miss Ho were all so impressed not only with the children’s confidence and performance skills but their attitudes and behaviour. They behaved wonderfully all week, encouraged one another, made new friends and, most importantly, had lots of fun.

Take a look at our final performance below. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed doing it!
