Each week the children will focus on individual numbers. This week is all about the number 1, reception was shown how the number can be represented in many different ways. Children went on a hunt inside the classroom and found number 1 in the play-dough area, Snuffle Station, water world and the home corner. Children listened to a story all about Number 1 from Numberblocks. Numberblocks is a children’s programme that follows a series of number characters in Numberland. The Numberblocks go on a series of different adventures, using counting and calculation to solve the problems. It is designed to introduce young children to early number concepts in a fun and engaging way. Numberblocks is a great TV series for children that you can find on BBC iPlayer.
