In our Art topic this half term we have concentrated on the artist Henri Rousseau.
We focused on the painting ‘Surprised’ and used a pencil to sketch outlines of our drawings. We made sure we looked at the painting throughout our sketching to make sure we added lots of detail.
We then used oil pastels to add colour to our sketches. We took care and looked carefully at the colours used in the painting. Some of us even blended light and dark colours together to create a realistic effect.
