In Design and Technology, we were looking at the topic ‘Shelters’. We learnt what shelters are and why we use it. We then planned what our shelters would look like and looked at some instructions of how we could build them.
We worked over three weeks in groups to create them. First, we built the base by gluing the sticks of wood together and secured the corners with triangular card. Next, we measured, cut out and stuck the walls on the base. We then folded the card and selected appropriate joining materials to attach the roof to the top. Finally, we painted our shelters and carefully added detail to it.
