This week we started our new Art topic of Mosaics. We started off by learning about modern artist; Emma Biggs and used visual language to describe some of her artwork. We then had a go at recreating one of our own. We sketched the outline first using pencil and then used tiny squares of paper to create the mosaic effect. We found that it was best to work systematically from one side of the paper to the other. We were really pleased with the striking effect of our work and look forward to learning more about mosaics this half term.
