Reception’s topic this term was the seaside. Children learnt a lot about the seaside in their classroom, but it was time to learn more beyond the four walls of their classroom. Children ventured on the bus as they saw the sea, sand and lighthouses. When the children arrived at the aquarium, children learnt about rock pools. They discovered that a starfish has five arms and hundreds of legs. Children loved stroking the starfish and sea urchins. Next, it was time to visit a show, a seal show! The children were amazed at the talented seals that were jumping and splashing. The favourite animal that the children saw was the shark.
