This morning we enjoyed leading our school in collective worship.
The theme of our worship was ‘making a difference’. We started off by reading a bible passage from the gospel of Matthew in which Jesus said, ‘You my followers, are like the light for the whole world. No one lights a lamp only to hide it under a bowl. They put it on a lamp stand so that it’s light fills the whole house. You must let your light shine.’
We then told the story of ‘The Man Who Planted Trees’ about a man who planted thousands of acorns in his local community to bring life back to the area.
Finally, we read a poem and then sang a song called ‘Send It On’ which is all about shining like lights and working together to make a difference. Thank you to everyone who came to join us for our worship this morning, it was lovely to see you in school.
