This half term, year 3 visited the Discovery Museum to supplement our learning in Science and History. We spent the morning looking around the museum for clues and information linked to our history topic of The Great Fire of Gateshead. The children loved looking at events through the ages and finding items from a similar time to the fire. We also spent some time using story telling to learn the order of the events of the fire and how it spread.
After we had lunch all together, we sent off for the Science area to focus our learning on Light and Shadow and the children had so much fun creating shadows using the shadow wall. We then looked around the Science floor and experimented with forces (from our previous topic) including magnets.
