On Friday, 20 children were picked from years 3,4,5 and 6 to take part in the SSP Gateshead Athletics Festival at Gateshead Stadium.
The children took part in a range of fielding and track events. There were 46 schools competing and out of 16 track events our children qualified into 10 semi finals and 3 finals! 3 children were even awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd medals in their races and events.
