Tonight’s KS1 after school club was spent outside on the MUGA, enjoying the last of this week’s sunshine, taking part in team sports games.
First, the children played a few games of ‘cups and saucers’, where one team had to turn coloured cones upside down (saucers), whilst the other team kept the upright (cups). The team with the most once the whilst blew were the winners!
They then played a game of ‘pirates and seaweed’, where some children were chosen to be pirates, who had to catch the other children who ran to the other side of the MUGA. Once caught, they then turned to ‘seaweed’, whilst the pirates continued to catch!
The final game was a game of ‘dodgeball’. The children worked together as a team trying to hit another player from the opposite side with the touch of a dodgeball.
