Music

Through the study of music, our intention is that pupils gain a firm understanding of what music is and how it is created through listening, singing, playing, evaluating, analysing, and composing across a wide variety of cultures, historical periods, styles, traditions, and musical genres. Our children will understand that music is a form of expression that can represent different feeling emotions and narratives. They will learn that music is universal and has no boundaries. Our children will understand that music is deeply rooted in cultural identity; we will encourage them to listen and to appreciate all different forms of music.
