School Uniform

At St. Aidan’s we are proud to wear our school uniform. Wearing it creates a positive sense of identity, it promotes equality and fosters a sense of belonging for our children.

We expect all children to wear school uniform. The uniform expectations are:

School Daily Uniform

• Burgundy sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan (with or without school logo)
• Gold or yellow polo shirt (with or without school logo)
• Grey or black skirt, trousers or shorts in summer. Shorts should be appropriate daily uniform, no cycling shorts. Leggings are not part of daily uniform.
• Red or Yellow checked dress.
• Black shoes or all black trainers. Trainers should not have obvious logos or additional bright colours.

PE Uniform

The children are timetabled to take part in both indoor and outdoor PE sessions, weather permitting. Therefore it is necessary that they have appropriate clothing and footwear. This consists of:

• Yellow t-shirt (with or without school logo)
• Black or Burgundy Shorts. Cycling shorts are appropriate for PE. In the colder weather children can wear all black leggings or tracksuit bottoms. They should not have coloured stripes, patterns or obvious logos.
• Trainers
• Burgundy Sweatshirt or School (PE) Hoodie
• All Black Trainers. Trainers should not have obvious logos or additional bright colours.

This uniform should only be worn on scheduled PE days.

Jewellery

For health and safety purposes jewellery is not permitted to be worn in school. Children can wear a watch. If children have their ears pierced, they can wear small flat plastic retainers to protect the piercing.
