Science
Through the study of science, pupils will understand the world through the three key areas of biology, chemistry and physics. Our pupils will develop their experimental thinking and curiosity to investigate the world around them. They will become reflective thinkers who see links and patterns in a meaningful way and acquire specific skills and knowledge to enable them to think scientifically, to gain an understanding of scientific processes and provide them with an understanding of the uses of science for both today and in the future. Through our curriculum provision, we endeavour to embrace a child’s natural curiosity about the universe around them, whilst simultaneously promoting a respect for all living organisms and the environment.

Our Visit to the Centre for Life
In Science this term, we are learning about light. On Monday, we enjoyed an interactive workshop at the Centre for Life where we were able to take part in lots of experiments investigating light. First we learnt about Isaac Newton and how he was the first scientist to...
Women in Science
This half term in Science, we have thoroughly enjoyed researching a range of female scientists past and present such as Katherine Johnson, Florence Nightingale, Rachel Carson and Caroline Herschel. We worked in groups to find out about their inspirational lives, what...
Forest School Fun!
