In history we are learning about different ancient civilisations including Ancient Greece. As well as this, we are also basing our writing on Greek mythology in English. Having the opportunity to visit The Great North Museum again, focussing on the Greek section, was a must for us. We were able to actually see ancient artefacts and the various Gods and goddess within pottery, jewellery and other every day items. We couldn’t leave without revisiting the ancient Egyptians section and recalling our previous learning from year 5.
