Religious Life of the School

At St Aidan’s we shine like lights in the world.

We believe learning creates wisdom; kindness fosters community; opportunities give hope; and respect brings dignity.

At St Aidan’s, we want to help all our children, whatever their faith background, to grow deep roots which will enable them and the whole community to be strong and  healthy and to care for each other.

As we live out these values, we help each other to flourish and grow. Our vision is not just about individuals but about a whole community, so we emphasise the importance of serving each other, and treating each other as we would like to be treated, and we also believe in the importance of caring for the world around us.

The right roots will allow our children to fulfil their potential in all areas of life and “live life in all its fullness” (John 10.10).

Our Christian Values as a Church School

The School’s values seek to underpin the Christian belief that we are all God’s people and that we all matter.  We endeavour to nurture excellence in all that we do; both in our learning and through our citizenship.  We believe that everyone within our school community should be valued and treated with love and respect and that each of us has a right to grow and become the best we can be. Likewise, we believe that we each have a responsibility to show respect and tolerance towards each other.  Our shared values have been developed and are shared by the whole school community. They are central to what we believe within school and permeate our daily work and interactions, relationships and decisions.  With these values and our belief that we have a responsibility to give our best in all we do, our children are helped to prepare for their life long learning journey.
