This week in Nursery we have learnt all about Remembrance Day.
Earlier in the week, we watched a video called “Poppies Animation”. In a child friendly way, it showed the children what happened in the First World War and why the war is still spoken about to this day.
The children have also took part in lots of Remembrance activities throughout the week. They made poppies out of play doh, painted poppies using cotton buds and cotton wool and practised their fine motor skills by cutting out poppies and colouring them in.
The children have a poem called “For The Fallen” to take home tomorrow to show their families and friends. We made the poems individual by including our own red hand print in memory of the soldiers that have fallen.
