In English this week, Year 4 have started to look at non-chronological reports.
The children enjoyed looking at a variety of non-chronological reports to help them identify their features. They were able to identify that all reports have; a title, an introduction, sub-headings, factual statements, photos, labelled diagrams, technical vocabulary and a glossary.
The children also identified that non-chronological reports are written in the present tense (unless it is a historical report)and the third person.
The list that the children created, will be used as their success criteria over the coming weeks as they write their own reports.
