This afternoon in Nursery we have been making our own play doh for our play doh area next week. We started by filling a bowl with 2 cups of flour, followed by 1 cup of salt and 2 sachets of cream of tartar. We then gave this a good mix! We then added in 1 tablespoon of oil and some food colouring. Miss Greenwell then took the bowl away to fill with 2 cups of hot water, before giving it a final mix and kneading it. We love that we chose the colour yellow, because it reminded us of the sun!
We had so much fun making play doh, that we also wanted to take part in messy play. We enjoyed filling the empty egg containers with a mix of flour and porridge oats, baking delicious cakes and sprinkling rain! Some of us enjoyed mark making in the flour too!
