In English, Year 4 have been writing a non-chronological report about the life and work of the young activist Greta Thunberg. Having read the story ‘Greta and the Giants’, the children were amazed to discover that Greta was a in fact a real person who is working hard to try to stop climate change.
Following lots of reading and research, the children organised a collection of statements about Greta into groups, thinking carefully about what the sub-heading would be. This was created into a mind map. They then used these to write their reports.
The children have emailed Greta today with some questions and photos and are very hopeful for a response!
