Year 3 create pneumatic cars!

This half term in our DT lessons, year 3 have been learning all about pneumatic power. We have learned that pneumatic means something is air powered, such as air brakes, bus doors and tyres. As part of our learning, the children were tasked with designing a pneumatic toy, which we decided would be a balloon car. The children have worked so hard to make their cars from scratch using a range of joining techniques and materials, testing their cars out and then finally adding their designs and decoration. This week, the children were excited to be able to finally use their cars in a “race” in the hall. We had so much fun! Everyone has showed such resilience throughout this topic, I am so proud of them all!
