Today in the Christian calendar is Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake day. It is celebrated before Ash Wednesday, the first day of lent, so we thought that we’d really enjoy making our own pancakes in Nursery today!
We used pre-made pancake mix and added in water. We gave this a good shake before Miss Pegram emptied the contents into some frying pans. We noticed that the shape of the pancakes were circles, just like the mark we have been making in our Squiggle lessons! Once cooked, we laid the pancakes out and added chocolate sauce and squirty cream to them. They were delicious!
