Following on with reading ‘Aliens love underpants’, Nursery were so excited to take part in pirate themed activities this week.
On Monday and Tuesday, the children created their own pirate hats. They designed the front of their hats using paint, sequins and tissue paper, before attaching them to a black band for them to wear.
Yesterday, the children wore their hats whilst listening to some Disney pirate music preparing for their very own treasure hunt in class! Miss Greenwell and Miss Pegram hid in and out of the classroom, pairs of underwear together with a treasure coin for each of the children to find. They loved hunting for treasure like real pirates with their friends.
Some of the children also decided to build their own pirate ship outside with the wooden blocks and sticks.
