This week, Year 6 children have been working hard on their School Councillor manifestos. We considered what qualities were important to represent our class on the St Aidan’s School Council and enjoyed creating campaigns with our chosen promises. The children were incredibly creative in their ideas to contribute to making St Aidan’s a happy and safe place to be, and they delivered confident and self-assured speeches to the class. On Monday afternoon, we took part in a ballot in the hall with Mrs Gourley so that our new school councillor can be elected democratically – just as our Members of Parliament were in the UK government in July!
Well done to all children who put themselves forward… any one of you would be a fantastic representative of our class! We look forward to finding out who has been successful later this week.
