Friendship Week in Year 6

Last week, we celebrated Friendship Week at St Aidan’s. In computing, we discussed what online bullying is, how to prevent it and what to do if it is happening to ourselves or our friends. We were given different scenarios in groups and discussed advice that we would give to the people involved. In RSHE, we took part in BBC Teach’s Anti-Bullying Week live lesson. We thought about the school value of respect and what respect looks like in action through our words and actions. On Friday, it was Friendship Friday. Our teachers were delighted to observe many acts of kindness throughout the day, and awarded some of the children with Kindness Certificates during our class collective worship.
