At the start of today’s session, Phil had a talk with the children inside of class about health and safety when in Forest School. He then showed the children the monsters who have came to play; Chloe who likes painting, Ella who likes making dens and Eddie who enjoys running, climbing, jumping and hiding.
He then explained to the children that because it is a very cold and frosty morning, a lot of Forest School is frozen, making it harder to take part in some activities and in order to do this the children need to be incredibly careful. He then said one of the activities is chopping wood with different pieces of cutting items, such as; a bow saw. Phil showed the children how to use each piece of equipment carefully.
The children then enjoyed creating a fort, cooking soup and pizza and investigating pieces of ice and rotten fruit.
