This half term in RE, we have been learning about Islam and how Muslims follow God. We have been learning about the Five Pillars of Islam and how these foundations for living guide Muslims in their lives. Then we learnt savour the Quran and how it was revealed to the prophet Muhammad by the Angel Jibril. We researched the Islamic Diversity Centre which is a charitable organisation based in Newcastle that educates people about Islam and runs various community projects such as helping the elderly and providing soup kitchens. This week, two representatives from the Islamic Diversity Centre came into school to speak with us and teach us about how they as Muslims put the hadiths of the prophet Muhammad into action in the world today.
