Last week, the children discovered what happened when the Vikings invaded Lindisfarne. The children read two extracts from news articles at the time to identify facts.
This week, the children used two different historical sources of information to find out more about the Vikings. The children studied images; one a painting of a Viking longboat and one a prayer.
The children discussed the sources of information in pairs and then in small groups to identify how reliable they felt the sources of information were.
We discussed rules for effective speaking and listening and used sentence stems to support our discussion.
