Bug Hotel

In RE, Reception class have been learning all about the world that God created and how we can look after it. They learnt about Umuganda, a community project that happens once a month in Rwanda. Communities come together to work on projects to help improve the local area. We watched a video where people came together to plant, build as well as tidy. The children commented on how ‘working together makes it easier’ and ‘they are looking after God’s world’.
we decided to carry out our own ‘Umuganda’ act and work as a team to build a bug hotel in our outdoor area. We gathered lots of materials with our families then worked together to build the structure. We showed great team work and were extremely proud of the finished project. Thank you to everyone in our school community who donated items for us to use!
