This week we were able to participate in various activities to recognise World Book Day. On Monday, we were joined by our parents in the school library. We had the opportunity to read with them. Then, on Thursday, we took a slight detour (Mrs Bullerwell took us the wrong way), on our walk to Dunston Library. We were able to borrow a book to take back to school and we stamped them with the return date ourselves. Friday, was the day we were able to dress as a character from a book. Some costumes were really well thought out, especially Fern and Charlotte from Charlotte’s web. We also had the opportunity to read with our friends in Year 1. They made us so welcome and were very attentive. Another wonderful week in Year 5 at St Aidan’s.
