Year 2 are busy writing a diary entry based on the Last Supper.
The children are imagining that they are one of the disciples and are writing about the events and emotions experienced during the very special meal Jesus shared with the disciples.
The children began by taking part in a role play activity where they explored the words and actions of Jesus.
They then put themselves in the shoes of one of the disciples. The children considered the joy the disciples felt when they gathered with Jesus, the surprise they felt when Jesus washed their feet, their confusion at the words of Jesus when he shared the bread and the wine and then finally their amazement at Jesus saying that one of them would betray him.
