This half term, children in Years 4-6 have been taking part in a social action project called Changemakers with Miss McAllister and Mrs Fraser. They learnt about what social action is and how individuals can promote good causes whilst also encouraging those in positions of power such as monarchs, governments and political leaders to take action to improve different problems in the world. After learning about young people who have advocated for important issues such as climate change and plastic pollution, they then researched different issues facing the world today such as the war in Ukraine, the cost of living crisis and racism. They created presentations to share information about the problems and suggested possible solutions. Inspired by this, they then created posters to encourage others to support their cause and take positive action to combat it.
What fantastic role models you have been, well done!
