To celebrate Year 6’s time at St Aidan’s, yesterday we held our Year 6 Leavers’ Service in school for our peers and teachers, our parents and loved ones. We led a reflective collective worship, sharing how St Aidan’s has taught us how to shine like lights in the world and look forward to our futures at secondary school and beyond with hope, courage and wisdom. We remembered with fondness memories from the past eight years and shared this with our family and friends – lots of giggles and smiles were had whilst we reminisced together! After performing a song that we wrote together in music lessons this half term (with help from Side by Side Arts!), we then performed a dance accompanied by a video montage of photographs of us over the years. We took a moment to say thank you to all of the people that have supported us during our time at St Aidan’s and asked for God’s help when looking forward to the challenges that secondary school may bring. It was wonderful to gather together, have time to reflect and to celebrate our achievements at St Aidan’s.
