On Tuesday 7th October, classes from Year 1 to Year 6 attended a Harvest worship at St Chad’s. As ever, Rev. Hannah warmly welcomed us all. The children sang beautifully and Rev Hannah explained how harvest time is so important to us. We can go to the shops and buy bread in wrappers, but where does the bread originate from? One child rightly, answered ‘Wheat.’ Wheat is harvested as well as other crops and it is this process that many of us take for granted. This is because we can go to the local supermarket and buy it with ease. As we move into the colder months, may the spirit of Harvest stay with us. May we remember to be thankful, to give generously, and to trust in the seasons of life.
