Today, we enjoyed a visit to the Great North Museum and visited both the Ancient Egyptian and Ancient Greece exhibitions. We looked at many artefacts and talked about what these artefacts could teach us about life in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. We talked about similarities and differences between gods and goddesses worshipped, the journey to the afterlife and everyday objects that people used in their lives. The children found the real-life mummy particularly fascinating to look at up close!
