Friendship Week in Year 4

This past week in Year 4, we celebrated Friendship Week, a special time to think about kindness, teamwork and what it means to be a good friend.

Throughout the week, we explored what makes friendships strong such as: kind words, helping others, respecting differences, listening, and supporting one another. These ideas inspired our art activities, where pupils created artwork that celebrated the importance of being a good friend by creating a portrait of a classmate with positive traits they display written around them.
It has been wonderful to see how confidently Year 4 have discussed friendships, shared their own experiences, and reflected on how they can support others, especially during our RSHE lesson on ‘Red: A crayon’s Story’, where the class discussed how to share joy and not judgement.

Year 4 also took part in the 25 circuit for Children in Need’s 25th anniversary and had a wonderful time squatting, running and jumping to support this special cause.
