This afternoon, we visited a mosque and took part in a workshop led by the Islamic Diversity Centre. We discussed the significance of the mosque in the Muslim community and found out more about the Five Pillars of Islam, which guide Muslims in how to live their lives. We enjoyed looking at different artefacts within the mosque and traditional clothing worn by Muslims before finding out the process of prayer. It was so interesting to hear that Christianity and Islam share some of the same values and believe in some of the same prophets as messengers of God.
