Last week, we were very fortunate to welcome Jess to St. Aidan’s from the Royal Forestry Society.
Jess worked with the School Council and children throughout the school to plant over 170 tree saplings in our school grounds.
The children learnt that planting trees shows that we care for the environment while making a positive impact on our surroundings. Trees provide fresh air, shade, and a healthier atmosphere, helping to reduce pollution and create greener grounds. Through tree-planting, the children learnt skills such as responsibility, teamwork, and respect for nature as they actively contributed to protecting our planet.
These efforts not only improve our school grounds, but also inspire the children’s young minds to develop lifelong habits of environmental stewardship and sustainability.
