Today we had a fantastic time visiting the Gurdwara in Newcastle. After washing our hands and taking off our shoes, we were invited upstairs to explore the classrooms, the Guru Granth Sahib’s bedroom and one of the halls used for weddings. We then came downstairs to visit the Diwan Hall and the Langar where we saw the food being prepared by volunteers. During the trip we were lucky enough to hear some traditional instruments being played while hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib were sang.
