This half term in Science, we have thoroughly enjoyed researching a range of female scientists past and present such as Katherine Johnson, Florence Nightingale, Rachel Carson and Caroline Herschel. We worked in groups to find out about their inspirational lives, what scientific discoveries were made and learnt about the discrimination and challenges they sometimes faced because of their gender. Today, we shared our presentations with one another thinking carefully about our oracy skills.
