Yesterday morning, Reception class and Nursery visited Forest School with Phil from Muddy Monsters.
Phil, as always, introduced us to our Muddy Monster friends; Ella, Oscar, Chloe and Eddie. He told us that Ella was very excited to be sawing wood, Oscar was looking forward to finding little creatures, Chloe was going to show us how to weave and Eddie, as usual, was going to be the funny, cheeky monster like he always is!
The children, alongside Phil learnt how to use a bow saw. They cut pieces of wood and then painted them. Some of the children created patterns, as well as characters on their wood. The children were also shown how to weave using string and sticks.
The children also enjoyed finding lots of wiggly worms underneath logs, making spider webs out of rope and some of them even noticed that on some of the trees and plants, flower buds were starting to appear.
