In Art this half term, our topic is ‘Ancient Egypt’.
Over the last couple of weeks, the children have built an understanding and knowledge of the Egyptian hieroglyphics, which has resulted in them learning how to write their names in hieroglyphics.
Last week, the children used rolling pins to flatten and mould a piece of clay. They then used tools such as clay knives to carve their hieroglyphic name into the clay.
