Forest School -Easter themed

Today in school, Nursery and Reception class were very excited to take part in Forest School, because it had a very special, tasty Easter treat included!

At the start of the session, Phil told us that Oscar Monster wanted to find worms and ladybirds underneath logs. Ella wanted to explore the mud kitchen and sheds. Chloe wanted to enjoy Phil’s delicious cooking, whilst Eddie wanted to have lots of fun jumping and climbing!

Phil lit the fire and told the children he was going to toast different flavoured hot cross buns and the children could spread either butter or apricot jam onto them. The children spent a lot of time here tasting the buns and helping each other with the butter and jam. We also spoke about why hot cross buns are ate more at Easter time more than any other time in the year.

The children also enjoyed finding worms and centipedes, having fun on the swings and hammock and seeing new buds appearing on trees.
