KS2 – Sports Day

This afternoon, children in Year 4, 5 and 6 part in their Sports Day.

The weather was incredibly hot and humid, so we all made sure we were hydrated throughout and had our sun cream and hats on for protection.

The children sat in their house groups cheering on their friends during each race. The sportsmanship throughout the afternoon was fantastic!

The children took part in the following races; 100m sprint, hurdles, sack race, egg and spoon, relay and 400m run (which the children made look sooooo easy!) The girls in Year 6 during their 400m race, made the decision to hold hands half way around and finish the race at exactly the same time, with this being their last primary school Sports Day. It made a lot of parents and staff members very emotional!

The children will find out in celebration assembly on Friday, which house group has won this year’s Sports Day!

Well Done on your participation everyone! You were all team players!
