We were delighted to welcome Ian Roberts from Newcastle Cathedral to school, accompanied by our very own choristers Abigail and Esther, to lead a special assembly about becoming a Newcastle Cathedral Chorister. Ian explained the important role of a chorister, sharing information about the regular rehearsals, the commitment involved, and the exciting performances and services that choristers take part in throughout the year. The children enjoyed joining in with some singing activities before Abigail and Esther gave a wonderful performance, demonstrating the high standard of singing that choristers achieve. It was an inspiring and informative visit that gave our pupils a valuable insight into the opportunities available through Newcastle Cathedral’s choir.
