This half term in Science we are studying animals including humans. We are looking closely at the circulatory system and the organs of the body. We contacted the local butcher and they were able to supply us with lambs hearts, livers and kidneys. This gave us the chance to actually see the approximate size of the organs in our body and the various valves, ventricles and atriums in the heart. Some of us were fascinated by the lesson and embraced the experience, however some of us came over a little queasy. However, we all are now aware of the function of the heart, kidneys and liver and in the next few weeks, we will be learning more about how to look after our body and the organs effectively.
