Year 2 continued their work on invasion games in PE, developing their understanding of the roles of attackers and defenders. The children learnt that attackers need to communicate and work together, sometimes using just a signal to show where they are going to pass the ball. They also learnt that defenders need to be on their toes, constantly moving and using their eyes to track the ball and try to stop the attack. The children practised rolling the ball to another attacker while a defender attempted to intercept the pass, helping them to develop their communication, movement and teamwork skills.
