Tuesday 10th February was Internet Safety Day. At St Aidan’s we recognise Internet Safety everyday, but always do something extra special about the theme. 2026’s theme is AI. AI is now interwoven into everyday digital tools—recommendation algorithms, voice assistants, chatbots, learning platforms, and even the systems protecting us online. With these exciting opportunities, however, come new risks: misinformation, deepfakes, identity theft, manipulative content, and unsafe algorithmic design. Safer Internet Day 2026 focused on (and will continue to focus on) empowering people of all ages to:
Protect personal data and digital identity
Understand both the benefits and risks of AI
Evaluate online content with critical thinking
Use AI tools responsibly and ethically
if you would like any help or advice on Internet Safety then please contact the school. We will endeavour to help where possible.
