Wellbeing Cubes

Today, Year 2 brought together their learning from both Maths and RSHE to create their very own wellbeing cubes.

In Maths, we’ve been exploring 3D shapes, and today we put that knowledge into action by using nets to build our cubes. It was a little tricky joining the tabs and folding everything neatly into place, but with patience and teamwork, everyone succeeded.

Alongside the practical challenge, we also spent time thinking about our wellbeing and what it means to feel happy, calm, and cared for. Each child drew six pictures, one for every face of their cube, showing activities that make them feel good. Reading, swimming, spending time with friends, and being with family were just some of the lovely ideas that appeared.

Once assembled, the cubes became colourful, personal reminders of the things that help us feel our best. Here are some of our fantastic results.
