For this week’s Cooking After School Club, we made Milk and White Chocolate Chip Cookies!
First, we cleaned our hands and popped on our aprons ready to start!
We mixed 100g margarine and 75g of soft brown sugar together until soft, light and fluffy. We then stirred in 1tbsp of golden syrup and 175g of self raising flour. Once combined, we added in either white chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips! We had enough mixture, so we were so excited to hear that we could make both sets of cookies! Once the mixture was fully combined with chocolate chips, we used our hands to roll the mixture into small balls and placed them on a baking tray with lined greaseproof paper. We then baked the cookies in the oven for around 10 minutes.
Our cookies came out looking DELICIOUS! They smelt amazing, so we were so excited to try them! We ate one whilst they were still warm, and were able to take home a bag full to share with our families at home.
Next week, we will be making gingerbread men!
