This half term, we have been learning about the artwork of Gustav Klimt. We researched Gustav Klimt and enjoyed making collages of his artwork. We noticed that Klimt’s artwork became less realistic and more mythical in style over time. After looking at the Golden Woman created during his Golden Period, in which he used gold leaf to accent his paintings, we painted our own artwork inspired by Gustav Klimt. We mixed a range of shades and tints in a yellow and orange colour palette.
